Commercial Underwriter – 12-month Contract
If you are a commercial underwriter with Property and Liability experience, we would be very keen to discuss this role with you. We are sourcing Underwriters for our client a long-established company in the Irish market.
This role is a 12-month contract which will allow you to work with highly skilled team which encourages autonomous thinking and supports technical growth.
This role is currently remote with hybrid working arrangements when regulations allow.
RESPONSIBILIITES
· Develop, negotiate & profitably underwrite new and existing business (renewals & MTAs) within own authority & aligned to Underwriting strategy.
· Plan, prioritise and manage individual work to deliver agreed objectives and meet SLA’s to deliver exceptional customer service.
· Build and maintain successful Internal and external relationships.
· Identify upselling opportunities at new business stage as well as within current book of business
· Understand and operate within regulatory framework and identify and escalate any risks to the business
ABOUT YOU:
· Underwriter experience – in commercial property and liability
· APA minimum. CIP preferred
· A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service
· Appropriate IT skills (Strong verbal communication
· Commercial awareness - including negotiation and trading skills
· Strong critical thinker and how it applies to the underwriting process
· Ambitious with interest in learning and developing your skillset
