Joinery Factory Manager

Sinopack Search are recruiting on behalf of a leading, internationally renowned interior contractor, in order to find a Factory Manager to oversee a large joinery production facility in Oman.
My client are a fit out contractor, with offices around the globe, and have recently experienced a significant growth. They have won several new projects across the Gulf region and have subsequently seen a huge increase in demand. They are looking for a Factory Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications.
Responsibilities would include:
• Review production schedules in line with the project requirements/project constraints to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, or duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
• Review operations and confer with technical, project or administrative staff to resolve production and/or processing problems.
• Implement production tracking or quality control systems, analysing production, quality control, maintenance, or other operational reports, to detect production problems.
• Prepare and maintain production reports.
• Coordinate or recommend procedures for facility or equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines.
• Maintain database for PPLs and cut-lists.
• Develop budgets and/or approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and/or manpower, ensuring that materials, labor, or equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
• Initiate or coordinate inventory or cost control programs in the shop floor
The ideal candidate would have:
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in engineering
- Extensive on-the-job experience
- At least 10 years in manufacturing / production
- Experience in the interior design/manufacturing industry
