Quantity Surveyor
Yorkshire, United Kingdom | Permanent, full-time| £55,000 per annum (+ package)
As a regional contractor based in South Yorkshire have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team and help them with both a care home and a crematorium development.
They are actively looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to work within their growing commercial team.
Key accountabilities will be:
• Line management of the Quantity Surveyors in their team
• Preparation of internal commercial reporting and other reports which may be required.
• Challenge & manage cost control and provide cost mitigation measures where appropriate.
• Management of projects in accordance with internal budgets the following the processes for increasing sanction where required.
• Undertake contract administration, including change management and maintain associated registers.
• Negotiation and agreement of change events, extension of time claims, final accounts within the timescales required.
• Measurement of quantities and pricing of work as required.
• Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change.
• Ensure appropriate contractor relationship is initiated and maintained.
• Assessment of applications for payment in accordance with the contract and preparation of payment certificates.
• Assist with the negotiation and agreement final accounts
• Drafting of complex contract arrangement and appropriate terms of engagement.
• Undertaking monthly accruals and forecasting for the business.
• Compliance with NGN governance, policies and procedures
