About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile professional to join our clients team as a Business Development Manager. This position will primarily focus on business development within FMCG independent retailers, representing our clients brand and driving sales within the assigned territory.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for building and developing your own territory, growing relationships with independent retailers, and driving sales through a cutting-edge trade ordering app that allows customers to order, pay, and receive next-day delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell FMCG brands into independent retailers across your territory
  • Build strong, long-term commercial relationships to secure ongoing sales and visibility
  • Educate retailers on how to grow their category sales and maximise profitability
  • Promote and encourage adoption of the company’s trade app to streamline ordering
  • Improve and place POS materials in store to boost sell-out and brand presence
  • Manage your territory effectively to meet and exceed monthly sales targets
  • Collaborate with a high-performing national sales team of 40+ BDMs
The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in FMCG sales (experience with independent retailers is an advantage)
  • Target-driven with a strong track record in business development
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills
  • Proactive, resilient, and motivated to succeed in a fast-paced industry
  • Strong planning, time management, and presentation skills
  • Full UK driving licence
