We’re recruiting for an office-based Internal Business Development Executive to join a well-established UK business based at Aztec West, Bristol.
This is a proactive internal sales role focused on generating new business, re-engaging dormant accounts and building long-term customer relationships over the phone. You’ll receive full training, work alongside an experienced and supportive team, and have the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the company’s continued growth while building a rewarding long-term career.
You don’t need industry experience. What matters most is your attitude, resilience and the drive to make things happen.

Our client is a long-established specialist distributor serving customers across the UK. Working with leading manufacturers and supplying a broad range of commercial organisations, they’ve built an excellent reputation for product knowledge, customer service and reliability.
Their customers include wholesalers, facilities management companies, student accommodation providers, holiday parks, leisure businesses and other commercial organisations.
The business is looking to strengthen its internal sales team with someone who brings enthusiasm, initiative and a genuine desire to win new business. The Role
This is a varied role combining outbound business development, account management and relationship building.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Proactively contacting new and dormant business customers while developing relationships with existing accounts
- Building long-term customer relationships and identifying new sales opportunities
- Following up enquiries and converting opportunities into orders
- Managing your own customer pipeline and sales activity
- Keeping in regular contact with customers to maximise account growth
- Supporting inbound customer enquiries where required
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and sales activity
- Working closely with colleagues to maximise commercial opportunities
About You
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys speaking to people, is commercially minded and gets genuine satisfaction from building relationships and winning business.
You may already have experience in:
- Business development
- Internal sales
- Recruitment
- Estate agency or lettings
- Retail or hospitality
- Customer service within a target-driven environment
- Another proactive customer-facing sales role
You’ll also have:
- A confident and professional telephone manner
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Energy, drive and resilience
- A proactive approach to generating opportunities
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail

Salary and Benefits
- £29,000 - £31,000 depending on experience
