Launch Your Career with an Established and Highly Successful British Manufacturer

Are you naturally analytical, commercially curious and ambitious? Do you enjoy solving problems, asking questions and using data to understand how businesses can perform better?

Join one of Britain’s leading manufacturers as a Commercial Data Analyst, where you’ll work directly with business leaders, influence commercial decision-making and build a rewarding career in commercial analysis. From day one, you’ll enjoy genuine responsibility, outstanding exposure and the opportunity to make a real impact.

You’ll help shape how the business measures performance, develop meaningful KPIs and support informed commercial decision-making. From sales and finance to operations, manufacturing and sustainability, you’ll gain experience across every area of the business while developing into a trusted commercial analyst.

Whether you’re a recent graduate or an ambitious early-career professional looking for your next challenge, this is an opportunity to launch a rewarding career where your ideas, curiosity and ambition will be genuinely valued.

About the Business

Our client is a long-established British manufacturer with an excellent reputation for quality, innovation and customer service. Continuing to invest in its people, technology and manufacturing facilities, the business offers an outstanding environment for ambitious individuals looking to develop their careers and make a genuine impact.

As this is a full-time office-based role, we’re ideally looking for someone who is already based in Doncaster or within a reasonable commuting distance.

The Role

Initially, you’ll take ownership of a range of established commercial and operational reports, providing valuable insight into business performance. As your understanding of the business grows, you’ll play an increasingly important role in developing new reporting tools, dashboards and performance measures that help drive better decision-making across the organisation.

This isn’t simply about producing reports. You’ll be encouraged to challenge existing ways of working, question what the business measures and develop new reporting frameworks that improve commercial performance across the organisation, giving you the opportunity to make a genuine contribution from day one.

Over time, you’ll gain exposure to every part of the business, giving you a genuine understanding of how commercial decisions are made at a senior level. From raw materials and production through to sales, finance and sustainability, you’ll develop knowledge that would normally take years to build.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain commercial, operational and management reports
  • Analyse sales performance, customer profitability and wider business performance data
  • Develop dashboards, KPIs and reporting tools using Excel and business systems
  • Identify trends, opportunities and areas for continuous improvement
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand reporting requirements
  • Support reporting across manufacturing, operations, finance and sustainability
  • Improve reporting processes, data quality and business insight
  • Present findings and recommendations to Directors and senior management

About You

We’re looking for someone with excellent analytical ability, commercial awareness and the ambition to develop into a key member of the business.

You’ll ideally have:

  • A degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Analytics or another numerate discipline, or equivalent analytical experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent numerical and problem-solving ability
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to work alongside senior stakeholders
  • A naturally curious mindset with the confidence to ask questions, challenge assumptions and understand how businesses really operate
  • A genuine desire to learn, develop and build a long-term career

Experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, ERP systems or a manufacturing environment would be advantageous, but isn’t essential. Full training and support will be provided for the right individual.

What’s on Offer?

  • £30,000 starting salary
  • Annual Profit Share Bonus
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Direct exposure to Directors and senior decision-makers
  • Broad experience across commercial, operational and manufacturing functions
  • Genuine opportunities for long-term career progression

If you’re ready to turn your analytical ability into a successful commercial career with one of Britain’s leading manufacturers, we’d love to hear from you.
