Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor

We are currently looking to speak with experienced Senior Cost Managers / Quantity Surveyors for several opportunities across the United States, working with a leading client-side cost and project management consultancy delivering major data center and mission-critical projects. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced commercial professionals looking to establish themselves within the rapidly expanding US data center market and work alongside some of the biggest technology and investment organisations in the world.
The Opportunity
You will join established project teams responsible for the commercial and cost management delivery of major, technically complex developments across multiple US locations. The data center sector continues to experience exceptional levels of investment and growth across the United States, creating significant opportunities for people looking to accelerate their careers. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on large-scale projects, develop relationships with major global clients and progress within a business that actively promotes career development and internal progression.
Previous data center or mission-critical experience would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite.
We are particularly interested in candidates coming from:
• Leading cost consultancies or client-side organisations
• Tier 1 main contractors
• Major construction or infrastructure programmes
Candidates with strong experience delivering large, complex projects across sectors including commercial, healthcare, life sciences, industrial, infrastructure and major mixed-use developments will also be considered.
The Role
As a Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial and cost management of projects throughout the development and construction lifecycle. Responsibilities will include cost planning and estimating, procurement and tender management, contract administration, change control, cost reporting, forecasting, value engineering and working closely with clients, contractors and project stakeholders. You will be expected to provide strong commercial leadership while becoming a trusted adviser to the client and wider project team.

You will have a strong background within quantity surveying, cost management or commercial management and experience working on significant construction projects.
You should be commercially confident, comfortable dealing directly with clients and capable of managing projects and workstreams with a high level of autonomy.
