Assistant Marina Manager

We are assisting Peterhead Port Authority with a fantastic new opportunity working as a part-time Assistant Marina Manager based at Peterhead Bay Marina.
This is a temporary position initially for 3 months but may lead to permanent for the right applicant. Part time hours will be arranged to suit however, these will include weekends.
The role is vital in maintaining and improving the quality of service provided to the port’s leisure craft customers. The job holder will be responsible for the maintenance and administrative functions of Peterhead Bay Marina alongside ensuring that our customers have a safe and positive stay. Good customer service skills will be instrumental in ensuring that our visiting customers and berth holders are treated fairly and efficiently. A high attention to detail will be maintained to ensure that the bay marina is kept at a high standard and deficiencies are reported and resolved in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and housekeeping on bay marina pontoons and other areas.
- Allocation of berths to visiting guests.
- Accurate recording of vessel arrivals, sailings and billing information.
- Providing bunkers to arriving and departing vessels via the Princess Royal Jetty.
- Lone working with a proactive mindset to ensure tasks area carried out in a timely manner
- Act as an emergency point of contact for all incidents within the bay marina.
- A valid ENG1 is desired but not essential.
- Previous experience with small vessels and leisure craft.
- Experience with hands on maintenance.
- Experience with the safe use of small craft.
- Good Log Keeping and Financial Recording Ability
- Sound understanding of relative legislation relating to operations
- Ability to self-manage and prioritise tasks.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with members of the public
