Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial buildings at various stages of construction.
- Assess compliance with building regulations, planning permissions, and health and safety standards.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation following inspections, highlighting any issues or non-compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to builders, architects, and homeowners regarding building regulations and best practices.
- Liaise with local authorities and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and resolution of any compliance issues.
- Stay updated on changes in building legislation and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance and best practices.
Requirements:
- A valid registration as a Building Inspector with relevant qualifications in building surveying or a related field.
- Proven experience in building inspection, with a strong understanding of building regulations and construction processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify potential issues during inspections.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
