This well-established multi-discipline consultancy in Welwyn Garden City are looking to appoint an experienced Civil Engineering Technician to join their technical team. This is a hands-on role for someone with a background in civil engineering projects, offering exposure to varied and technically challenging schemes in the Commercial and Data Centre worlds respectively.
The Role
As a Civil CAD Technician, you will support the engineering team by producing accurate technical drawings and design information across a range of civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, highways, drainage, and associated civil works. You will work on live projects from concept through to construction and collaborate closely with engineers and senior technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
- Producing and updating 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience advantageous)
- Preparing detailed design drawings for highways, drainage, and infrastructure schemes
- Working from engineers’ mark-ups, design calculations, and site information
- Supporting the wider engineering team with technical documentation
- Contributing to project delivery and providing technical input
What you’ll bring;
- 2+ years’ experience in a civil engineering technician or CAD role
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience producing drawings for highways, drainage, or infrastructure projects
