Location: Near Meriden (Hybrid – 3 days office based)
Salary: £27,000 - £33,000 (depending on experience)

We are working on behalf of a growing and successful business who is seeking to recruit an experienced Finance & Administration Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team. Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will support the day-to-day finance and administration across three companies within the Group, working closely with colleagues across finance, service and project support.
This is a varied role combining accounts administration with wider business support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is keen to develop their finance career.
This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week with a flexible working pattern to be agreed. You will be required to attend the office near Meriden 3 days a week. Due to the office location, your own transport is essential.
• As a Finance & Administration Assistant you will be working across a busy finance function supporting multiple companies within the Group
• Responsible for checking, processing and recording supplier invoices
• Reconciling supplier statements and company credit card transactions
• Handling supplier invoice queries and liaising with suppliers professionally
• Assisting with customer invoicing and supporting the Service & Maintenance team with scheduling and invoicing
• Liaising with operational teams to resolve queries and support day-to-day business activities
• Chasing outstanding paperwork and ensuring records are maintained accurately
• Maintaining electronic filing and document management systems
• Providing general finance and administration support as required
Skills and experience required:
• Proven work history within a busy Accounts or Finance department essential
• Previous accounts administration experience essential
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles including VAT
• Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
• Excellent verbal, written and numerical communication skills
• Positive, proactive and enthusiastic mentality
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload independently
• Team player with a customer-focused approach
• Naturally keen to learn, develop and suggest process improvements
