Job summary

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Nursery Cleaner to join a nursery in Wanstead. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic and safe environment for children, staff and visitors.

The role will involve cleaning classrooms, communal areas, toilets and other facilities, disposing of waste appropriately, replenishing cleaning supplies and ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the nursery.

Key responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, communal areas, toilets and other nursery facilities.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
• Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies when required.
• Follow health and safety and cleaning procedures.
• Report any maintenance or cleaning issues.
• Work professionally around children, staff and visitors.

Skills and experience

• Previous cleaning experience is preferred.
• Experience in a nursery, school, childcare or similar environment would be an advantage.
• Good attention to detail.
• Reliable, hardworking and well organised.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Good understanding of cleaning, hygiene and health and safety procedures.
• Professional approach when working around children and staff.

Working hours

• Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 45 hours per week

Approximate salary

• £13 – £14.50 per hour, depending on experience.
