Practice Accountant & Bookkeeper

Recruitment Professionals is recruiting for a Practice Accountant & Bookkeeper to join a growing UK-based accountancy practice on a fully remote, permanent basis.

The Role
This is a hands-on role covering a varied client portfolio. You will be responsible for:

• Preparing year-end and limited company accounts
• Completing Self Assessment and personal tax work
• Preparing CT600 returns
• Bookkeeping and VAT
• CIS work
• Companies House compliance
• Making Tax Digital requirements
• Managing your own workload and meeting deadlines
• You will work independently with minimal supervision and have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of clients.

Requirements

• At least 5 years' recent UK accounting experience
• Strong experience in accounts preparation, personal tax and bookkeeping
• Experience preparing limited company accounts and CT600 returns
• Experience with Self Assessment
• Strong practical knowledge of Xero, VAT and CIS
• Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
• Experience working with trades clients would be an advantage

Package

• Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
• Location: Fully remote – UK only
• Contract: Permanent, full-time
