The Role
As Deputy Room Leader, you will support the Room Leader in the day-to-day running of the Pre-school classroom, helping to deliver exceptional care and learning experiences for children. You will lead by example, support colleagues, and ensure the room maintains the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and education. The Pre-school room accommodates 26 children and is supported by a team of five staff members.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Room Leader with the daily management of the Pre-school room.
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress and development.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
- Ensure safeguarding, health, safety, and welfare standards are met at all times.
- Support, motivate, and mentor other members of the nursery team.
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
- At least one year of recent experience working in a day nursery.
- Previous experience in a senior practitioner or room leadership role is advantageous.
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Right to work in the UK.
