We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Room Leader to join our vibrant nursery team. As a Room Leader, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years. You will lead a team of practitioners, ensuring that the children’s individual needs are met while fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the assigned room, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Supervise and support staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high standards of care and education.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and development, communicating effectively with parents and guardians.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery procedures.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- A passion for working with children and a commitment to their welfare and development.
Nice to Have:
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience with special educational needs (SEN).
- Knowledge of additional languages or cultural backgrounds to support diverse families.
