Commercial Legal Secretary
Sutton | Permanent, full-time| £24,000 - £32,000 per annum
We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Legal Secretary to
join a well-regarded property department in the Sutton/Cheam area. This is
a full-time, office-based role supporting fee earners handling a broad range
of commercial and residential property matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist fee earners with mixed property caseloads including leaseholds,
freeholds, re-mortgages, lease extensions, and new builds
Handle the conveyancing process from instruction through to post-
completion
Prepare legal documentation such as TR1, AP1, SDLT forms and Land
Registry applications
Manage client onboarding, AML checks, file opening, and archiving
Audio typing, proofreading, document formatting, and managing
correspondence
Coordinate billing and handle administrative tasks related to
transactions
Provide professional and responsive client communication and
internal support
Requirements:
Previous experience in a legal secretary role, preferably within
property or conveyancing
Strong understanding of commercial and residential conveyancing
processes
Excellent typing, organisational and communication skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Confident using MS Office and case management systems
A proactive and adaptable approach with the ability to work
independently and as part of a team
