Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with an expanding organisation based in Tamworth. This is an excellent opportunity to join the team as a Warehouse Manager on a full-time permanent basis

This client is seeking a candidate with strong communication skills, both verbal and written who can work with a large team and be able to work on their own initiative. Package & Benefits
  • Monday to Friday 1pm-10pm (shift allowance £1.50p/h x 8 hours per shift)

Pension            
  • 3% employer contribution, 4% employee contribution, 1% tax relief, pensions advisor to visit the site twice a year

Holiday Entitlement

  • After completing 6-month probationary period, all employees are entitled to up to 5 days unpaid annual leave in addition to their paid allowance. This is pro-rata in the first part year, following probation.

Job Role:
  • Motivating and managing the Warehouse team
  • Organising and planning the workload for the warehouse team, working to strict deadlines and prioritising specific duties depending on business demand
  • Liaising with and supporting multiple departments across the business to achieve objectives
  • Planning and implementing new ideas and processes
  • Implementing of most cost effective ways of working for the business
  • Safely operating a fork lift truck to unload containers and move stock
  • Stocking condensing and stock rotation
  • Maintaining a good level of housekeeping within the warehouse
  • Responsible for addressing customer miss-picks and shortage discrepancies
  • Identifying and allocating master bin locations for new stock lines
  • Responsible for health and safety of the department including fire drills
  • Having a knowledge of the different departments across the business
  • First port of call for any absences, disciplinaries and return to work
  • Carrying out and record fork lift truck checks.
  • Picking, checking and packing orders  
  • Working with a high level of integrity and maintain high standards of work
  • Upholding and actively promote following company policies and procedures

 Skills and experience:
  • Must have full driving licence
  • FLT License is essential
  • Computer literate with an understanding of IT
  • A good working knowledge of health and safety in the workplace
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to organise and delegate work and motivate the team
  • Work within a large team and be able to work on own initiative
