Location: London - Clerkenwell (with regular UK site travel)

Role Overview
The Quality & Environmental Manager will be responsible for coordinating and developing the company’s Quality & Environmental (Q&E) function. This includes maintaining and improving management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, embedding processes across all sites, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement. The role is London-based with regular travel to UK project sites.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the Quality & Environmental Management System (QEMS) across offices and sites.
Ensure compliance with company Q&E policies, procedures, and KPIs in line with the Integrated Management System.
Act as Procore Super User – providing training, support, and audits to embed system use across the business.
Conduct regular internal audits (systems, procedures, and site-based) to ensure consistency.
Liaise with external auditors to maintain and improve ISO certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 integration).
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by upskilling staff and embedding best practice.
Manage and monitor non-conformance issues, defect closeouts, and Q&E observations.
Provide weekly reports to Senior Management on Q&E performance and progress.
Support bid and tender submissions (PQQs) with Q&E data and KPI input.
Develop and maintain environmental documentation (waste estimates, disposal logs, compliance records).
Research, implement, and train staff on new Quality Plans and Waste Management templates.
Carry out site inspections, reporting on Q&E performance and providing improvement recommendations.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
Degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Strong understanding of the construction project lifecycle, ideally with a Main Contractor.
Experience with Quality & Environmental management systems and ISO standards.
Excellent IT skills; confident in adopting and training others on new platforms (Procore advantageous).
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and support teams at all levels.
Organised, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Evidence of delivering results in Q&E initiatives and driving compliance improvements.
Ability to manage both detailed operational work and strategic planning.
Desirable
Previous experience leading ISO 9001 / 14001 audits and certifications.
Knowledge of ISO 45001 and its integration with Q&E procedures.
Demonstrated interest in sustainability and environmental performance within construction.

Works closely with: Site Managers, Safety Personnel, Office Teams, and External Auditors
