The Role Unveiled
At thebigword, our Marketing department is the driving force behind our global revenue growth, boasting an anticipated pipeline of over £120m annually. Our focus lies in fostering new business development across three core regions: the US, Europe (including the UK), and Asia. Reporting into the Global Head of Marketing, this role is pivotal in steering our marketing strategies.

The core of our success stems from securing new contracts across both private and public sectors, a process primarily driven by formal tender/RFP submissions. Guided by adept Capture Managers, our targeted sales strategy relies on the Marketing department to craft revenue-generating initiatives that significantly contribute to securing these contracts. Simultaneously, the department collaborates with various divisions to ensure seamless contract implementation and service delivery.

Your Role in Action
  • Craft and execute a comprehensive brand strategy, ensuring the consistent representation of thebigword brand across all initiatives.
  • Establish and oversee a multi-channel lead generation program encompassing events, email campaigns, and digital content to drive potential client engagement.
  • Strategise and curate content to position thebigword as a leading Language Service Provider (LSP) and to promote WordSynk as the premier multilingual technology platform.
  • Oversee online reputation management through social media and the website, revising strategies quarterly for optimal impact.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales/Account Management team of both divisions to highlight recent victories and impressive client feedback regularly.
  • Updating branding and collateral to ensure brand consistency is displayed both internally and externally.
  • Curating PR content and working with external agencies to help maintain a positive brand reputation for thebigword.
  • Participate in pivotal meetings and contribute to strategic tasks, including client implementations with a focus on communication strategy and essential collateral.
  • Supporting with the creation of company events, in person and virtually, and driving the content to be displayed.
  • Executing internal engagement strategies to align internal messaging with external branding, encouraging staff to actively share thebigword's messages within their networks.

 The Perfect Match: Your Skills & Talents
  • 2+ years of marketing experience, ideally in a B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in branding management and communications.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategy and tactics, especially in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, and initiate projects.
  • Diploma or degree in a marketing-related discipline.
  • Exposure to a global marketplace and understanding of diverse cultures.
  • Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders from diverse functions.
  • Skilled in leading and coordinating virtual teams.
  • Competence in people development, strategy, and execution.
  • Strong communication skills across various disciplines.
  • Previous experience in line management (desired)
