Purchase Ledger Clerk

Our client, an established business based close to Clevedon, are looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join them on a permanent basis.

The role purpose:

  • Posting and coding UK overhead invoices and maintaining the outstanding purchase orders.
  • Posting UK stock invoices and investigating differences.
  • Reviewing the GRN report and investigating outstanding items.
  • Assisting with weekly payment runs.
  • Managing the accounts payable inbox and answering phone calls
  • Reconciling supplier statements.
  • Maintaining outstanding proforma invoices.
  • Setting up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details.
  • Processing and coding employee credit card expenses.
  • Filing invoices.

We are looking for a person that has:

  • Experience in purchase ledge (essential)
  • Driven individual with a can-do attitude and willingness to help others succeed
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Numerate and comfortable with working to challenging targets
  • Assertive with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Able to work well cross functionally and as part of wider team
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and experience using an accountancy system

The salary for this role is circa £20,000 depending on experience. 

Hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

There is free on site parking and they are also located close to Public Transport links.
