Accounts Payable Clerk

Our well established client in Taunton is looking to recruit two full-time Accounts Payable Clerks, initially on a 3 month Temporary Contract with the possibility to go permanent.  The successful candidate will have solid financial experience as well as a strong background working with large volume data input.  A good working knowledge of Microsoft, especially Excel and Word is essential along with an understanding of computerised systems.

Main responsibilities include:
  • Proactively manage supplier and internal customers phone and email queries
  • Proactively resolve queries from internal Customers and Suppliers on a timely basis
  • Assist internal customers to resolve issues impacting the supplier invoices not cleared for payment
  • Reconcile supplier statements as received or upon request to resolve a supplier query
  • Provide copy invoices to internal customers as and when required
