A fabulous and exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of a dynamic and well established manufacturing organisation as an Account Manager. This role is being recruited on a permanent basis and will be based in Wellington (Somerset).

As the Account Manager you will be responsible for maximising sales & contribution within the Sales team.

Due to the nature of our client’s business, a background in Account Management from within the FMCG, Beauty or Personal Care industries is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Managing feasibility costings and pricing of new projects
  • Identifying cost saving opportunities
  • Effectively communicating critical paths with customers
  • Briefing new projects within the Business and monitoring and driving the progression of all developments
  • Ensuring correct internal procedures are being followed and Customer requests are implemented
  • Proactively seek to keep all stock to a minimum    
  • Managing write-offs and sweep-ups
  • Identifying Customer needs
  • Monitoring and forecasting account sales, contribution and volume
  • Maximising profitability
  • Managing the briefing of new developments
  • Keeping up to date with market developments, new launches and customer developments
  • Managing, driving and motivating a team
To be successful in this post, it is essential you have a strong working knowledge of contract accounts.  Very strong analytical and organisational skills together with excellent communication skills. 

It is essential you have the ability to work independently and also as part of a team.

This role will also involve occasional travel so a full clean driving licence is essential. 

Our client is offering a competitive salary on this position, combined with a strong benefits package. The hours of work are 08:30 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:30 – 16:00 on Friday, 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, free on-site parking, staff canteen plus other benefits.
