Data Cabling Engineer

My client is looking for a Data Cabling Engineer with previous experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing a range of cabling and hardware products.
This varied role includes a degree of physical activity, and you may be required to work at heights or in small spaces.
Duties and Responsibilities Data Cabling Engineer :
A highly motivated and conscientious individual, your main areas of responsibility will include:
Onsite installation of data cabling project and associated hardware
Providing excellent customer service and support
The ability to work alone and as part of a team
Working collaboratively with contractors on site where necessary
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required Data Cabling Engineer:
Essential
A full UK driving licence
Experience of installation, termination and testing of copper cabling
Experience of installation, termination and testing of fibre optic cabling
Experience of installing cabling containment solutions
Experience of the correct and safe use of power tools
An understanding and appreciation of health and safety practices
Taking pride in the quality of your work and always looking for ways to improve and promote quality
Desirable
Experience in the setting up, use and interpretation of the results from Fluke or similar testing equipment
Experience with the safe and correct use of ladders and other access equipment
IPAF/PASMA certified
CSCS/ECS trade relevant card
Basic knowledge of networking equipment including switches and WiFi access points
Qualifications:
Although no formal qualifications are essential for this role, the successful candidate should have relevant work-related experience and attained a good all-around standard of education.
Location and Working Arrangements:
The installations will be at various sites across the North East of England. You may occasionally be required to work outside of these areas, based on current projects. When working outside of the area, hotels and expenses are provided.
Working hours are normally Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30 with a half hour for lunch. Extended or alternative hours may be required to satisfy customer requirements. Occasional evening shifts are required to facilitate installations into schools outside of student attendance hours. It is expected that the successful candidate will be able to accommodate changes to their working hours and be available to work occasional weekends and occasional evenings as required.
