Are you passionate about technology and ready to be part of a prestigious global event? We are seeking a skilled and dedicated contractor to join our clients team as a Technology Support Specialist for the full duration of the Rugby World Cup (RWC). This role will be crucial in overseeing and supporting all technology-related aspects during hearings that may need to take place.
Position: Technology Support Specialist (Contractor)
Duration: Full duration of the Rugby World Cup
Responsibilities:
On-ground Technology Oversight: You will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient technology operations duringĀ throughout the RWC. This includes managing and supporting the AV equipment provided by a leading French AV company.
Zoom Troubleshooting: As the Technology Support Specialist, you will have access to our Zoom tenancy to promptly troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during hearings.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the event organizers, stakeholders, and AV team to coordinate technology requirements and ensure seamless integration of technology during the RWC.
Preparation and Testing: Prior to the RWC, assist in the setup and testing of all technology equipment to identify and address potential issues proactively.
Ad hoc Support: Provide on-the-spot assistance for any unforeseen technology challenges during the RWC, ensuring minimal disruption to the hearings and related activities.
Requirements:
Proven experience in managing and supporting technology systems, preferably in large-scale events or conferences.
Technical expertise in audio-visual (AV) equipment, particularly with experience in AV systems from a French AV company.
Proficiency in Zoom or other virtual meeting platforms.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to quickly resolve technical issues.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Availability to be on-site for the entire duration of the Rugby World Cup.
Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic event environment.
