Finance Manager
Reporting into the Head of Finance
We are looking for a finance manager for a fast growing SME in Abingdon to join the senior leadership team in a hands on, varied and all round role!
Role responsibilities:
Manager three strong finance team
To oversee all aspects of the Accounts department and its day to day running
The preparation of budgets
The calculation, inputting and processing of all financial data required to produce the monthly management accounts and ultimately the year end accounts in line with current company law
Provide the analysis and explanation of financial data to enable decisions to be made at board level
Preparation of year end accounts and all related reports, analysis and data as required by the external auditors
Liaising with the Auditors
Credit control in respect of sales ledger and the payment of suppliers in respect of purchase ledger
Responsible for all aspects of VAT, including meeting HMRC guidelines, filing returns to strict guidelines and ensuring timely payment
Dealing with all inland revenue matters
Skills needed:
A fully qualified Accountant - ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
Experience working in an SME environment
Strong line management skills
Great communication skills
