We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our clients dynamic team in Essex (work will be covering London and Essex areas), specialising in commercial flooring projects. Our client is a leading provider in the flooring industry, known for delivering high-quality solutions to a diverse range of clients. In this role, you will oversee the management of contracts from inception to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality within their thriving Construction Division so experience in that type of works is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of contract delivery and administration for commercial flooring projects.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
- Prepare and review contract documents, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
- Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess project status and address any issues that may arise.
- Prepare and present reports on project performance, financial status, and risk management to senior management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Contract Manager or similar role within the construction or flooring industry.
- Management Experience working on Flooring elements of large Construction Projects for the Tier One Category Main Contractors prefferred.
- Strong understanding of contract Flooring and commercial practices.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Nice to Have:
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience with sustainable flooring solutions and eco-friendly practices.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the construction industry.
- A Managerial level of CSCS Card (Black or Gold Ideally) plus an SMSTS H&S Certificate.
