Carpet Roles UK, dedicated Recruiters to the UK Carpet and Flooring Industry, are delighted to be assisting their clients, a South London based Family run Flooring company who specialise in supplying Flooring to the construction and end user Clients in their search for a well organised Commercial Flooring Manager to assist with the planning and Scheduling of work and Labour for various sites around London and the South East.
Effectively an all-rounder role, you will be involved in the delivery of excellent service to the company’s clients and the organisation of labour predominantly and, materials as well as client liaison and general support for the Project Managers though this particular client tends to see the two roles as interchangeable as broadly they share the responsibility of delivering flooring projects on time and to budget…
The role has a core function of site doing pre site surveys, visiting completed jobs across London and the South East ensuring accuracy and High Quality Installations are carried out on all Jobs.
Brief Duties / Requirements
● An Excellent all-round knowledge of Flooring and Fitting of various types of Flooring.
● A good organiser, capable of arranging work to be completed efficiently and to standards required by the Companies in-house and external Fitters.
● CSCS at least and preferably SMSTS Site Safety qualifications.
● Managing works carried out by Fitters at an organisational level in the office and when necessary on-site visits.
● Well organised and presented on a personal level, capable of liaising with clients and suppliers.
● Computer savvy, capable of using Office etc.
● Capable of accurately measuring for all types of Flooring using manual systems and identifying where errors might be made or have been made and their rectification.
● Organising of Job Sheets, ensuring correct numbers of staff and Materials are lined up for each job.
Bottom Line we are seeking a Flooring Professional with Fitting Experience who is Highly Organised and has Excellent Interpersonal skills and
Effectively the role is that of a Project Manager without the financial and accounting functions and would suit a Flooring professional with great organisational and relevant Flooring experience as well as Commercial Fitting Experience.
Our Clients are offering a Basic in Year One of c£35k to £55k plus a generous company Bonus scheme.
