Contract Manager - Flooring Contractors
Wythenshawe | Permanent, full-time| £35,000 - £50,000 per annum (Negotiable Salary + Car / Van + Bonus (Annual))
Carpet Roles UK are delighted to be assisting their clients, a leading supplier of Commercial Flooring with a great reputation for the quality of their services in the North West and wider UK in their search for a dedicated Contract Manager to assist with running Jobs on their behalf.
Our Client is an industry leader in the supply and installation of all types of commercial floor coverings. Based in the North West Region (Near Wythenshawe) with a reach that spans nationwide they offer a smooth, highly personalised project delivery that is trusted by large and small businesses alike. Heading towards their fourth decade in the business, they are delighted to have been recognised for both ISO 9001 and ISO14001 standards which means they can immediately give both current and prospective clients an enhanced level of assurance.
They are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to help further develop our flooring division.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have previously been employed in the role of Contracts Manager, or similar.
• Be a flexible team player who is self-motivated, honest and reliable.
• Be able to represent the company in a positive manner at all times.
• Have a friendly manner and be able to communicate well with both clients and workforce.
• Have extensive experience of commercial soft flooring installation, a knowledge of ceramic tiling would also be advantageous.
• Be well organised and able to organise multiple activities on multiple sites.
• Have good IT skills.
• Be in possession of full current UK driving licence, and CSCS card. SMSTS qualification would be advantageous.
The role will include:
• Giving advice on pricing to Estimators and Surveyors.
• Compiling programmes and managing the installation diary.
• Preparing risk assessment and method statements.
• Ensure that Health and Safety requirements on site are adhered to at all times.
• Source and supervise labour.
• Sign off payment claims form direct and indirectly employed labour.
• Ensure that site is adequately supplied with materials, plant and sundries.
• Inspect areas prior to the commencement of operations.
• Liaise with site management and monitor progress.
• Ensure all activities comply with the contract and ensure extras are identified.
• Check quality of completed work and ensure areas are snagged,
• Ensure that projects run to time and on budget
In return our clients are offering an attractive package including:
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (negotiated subject to experience)
+ van/car
