Our clients are a leading sustainable building supply company. Their recycled range of Flooring and other Construction materials are being successfully sold into homes nationwide and some of the UK’s largest construction companies.

This is a great opportunity to work in a high growth “scale-up” amongst a vibrant team of professionals.

After five years our client is the largest supplier in its initial niche and is now integrating new products in order to become the go-to name for sustainable building materials within the Flooring Industry.


In this senior role the lead salesperson will be working within the Internal Flooring department selling their White Label Luxury Vinyl Tiles and Laminate flooring ranges. You will work closely with senior management and have an opportunity to grow and establish a new department.

Initially the role will focus on reaching out to new trade accounts, as they look to build a base of returning customers. Throughout this period, they will also be looking to you to provide feedback and offer insight on what they as a brand need to change to improve our competitiveness to help you win more accounts. If you are able to grow the list of returning customers and achieve revenue targets, then the successful candidate is expected to recruit and manage a new sales team and to earn attractive performance related Bonuses.

The sales channels for this role will be primarily those who install in B2C properties be they specialist flooring contractors, or general builders and some direct B2C sales.  Our client has a separate commercial team that will handle the large housebuilders, but at the beginning there is potentially some overlap until they understand where divisions should be drawn.

They expect the successful candidates to challenge what they are doing, continually strive to improve and be willing to pass on their experiences to others.

They are currently working remotely however we will look to return to our London office in some form when possible.

  • Prospecting potential customers to find out about new markets.
  • Building an established list of returning trade accounts.
  • Helping to develop new sales strategies.
  • Adapting to new challenges.
  • Integrate new products into the offering as they become available.
  • Feeding back improvements to the marketing team on the offering.
  • Once revenue permits, recruiting and managing a team.
  • Proven sales experience within a Flooring or closely related background.
  • Hard working, Enthusiastic and Highly organised.
  • Ability to think strategically and entrepreneurially.
  • Resilient, with the ability to work under pressure and hit numbers.
  • Great phone manner.
  • Entrepreneurial, a self-starter who takes the initiative.
  • Computer Literate.
  • Understanding of the construction industry and Flooring sector specifically.
  • Interest in sustainability.
  • Previous experience working in the indoor flooring market.
