Carpet Roles UK are delighted to be assisting their clients, a Blue Chip Specialist Carpet Manufacturer with a design led range and bespoke services specific to the Hospitality, Corporate and even an Aviation division, in their search for a Sales Manager to work as part of their UK and EMEA operations Management team.

Job description: 

The role is a Key one and will involve close cooperation with the UK based and EMEA Senior Management team, duties will include:
  • Create, agree & implement sales action plans with the UK team and Sales Director EMEA.
  • Adopt and adhere to best practice sales and account/project management techniques and practices.
  • Ability to work within a team environment of dynamic, enthusiastic individuals with a high degree of passion & commitment.
  • Deliver sustained growth in carpet sales & profitability, through increasing opportunity, and being first choice throughout the hospitality market sector.
  • Lead and participate where necessary, in major negotiations with prospects to achieve a successful outcome based on Win:Win solutions.
  • Focus localised representation towards a bias of specifiers and end users, to subsequently understand, and approach, all parties involved on projects to adopt a ‘pincer’ approach to close the sale.
  • Provide artistic and technical guidance to high-end interior designers to help them develop a unique custom proposition
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations to architects, designers, purchasing agents, project managers and end users
  • Travel to design companies and other customer locations is required in and around the London area, with occasional visits outside the region as needed
  • Evaluate, create and implement best approach methods of contractor partnering
  • Work closely with internal teams, including Design, Customer Service and Planning & Estimating to specify our clients full product portfolio, maintaining project integrity and close sales
  • Work in accordance to the required internal system processes and reporting procedures
  • Continually review and align company approach to the UK Market, creating and implementing agreed changes when necessary.
  • Continually monitor, evaluate and amend plans in light of performance versus plan
  • Reach sales objectives whilst maintaining high margins

The person our clients are seeking will display the following Key Attributes: 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ sales, project management and hospitality experience Knowledge of the hospitality and woven carpet industry is advantageous
  • Self starter and thrives in individual and team environments, adapting to the demands of a changing marketplace.
  • A good team player, organised, and highly motivated with good interpersonal skills Strong verbal, written and communication skills
  • Is a clear and logical thinker. Has strong influential skills Strong networking skills
  • Ability to think ‘outside the box’ and juggle multiple tasks at once
  • Has the drive & commitment to deliver aggressive business plans through clearly defined and agreed strategies.
  • Track record in successful creation & implementation of sales strategies
  • Can develop strong cross-functional relationships with colleagues and clients, enhancing overall business performance.
  • Proven record of excellent customer service and relationship building  Active member of the Hospitality industry; NEWH and other organisations

In Return our clients offer a Superb package with Basic Salary in the region of £65000 plus £5k Car Allowance plus Bonus.
