Area Sales Representative - Flooring
Eastleigh | Permanent, full-time| £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (INSTARMAC / ULTRAFLOOR)

We are an ambitious, forward thinking company with traditional values at our heart. This is a field based role is covering the South East. Due to the travel involved we are looking for someone who lives on patch, ideally Reading, Guildford or Redhill areas.
About the role...
The main purpose of this role is to increase sales of our UltraFloor brand proactively selling the ‘Instarmac Difference’ and actively promoting the range of products associated with brand. Hitting sales targets and meeting KPI’s. Carrying out all necessary tasks to assist in the successful growth of the brand.
What you will be doing...
1. Diary management and planning to ensure that your time is utilised in the most productive and effective way.
2. Fully prepare for and attend appointments with both existing and prospective customers to build and maintain strong relationships.
3. Researching and prospecting of new contacts and responding to any sales leads promptly. Identifying any future markets, product requirements and enhancements. Attending exhibitions and industry events to gain new business leads.
4. Managing customer database effectively. Updating with new prospect contacts and customer information and visit notes. Ensuring records are kept accurate and up to date.
5. Analysing and maintaining industry knowledge of competitors and their products.
6. Providing quotations and managing ongoing pricing reviews.
7. Constantly look for opportunities to up-sell and add on sales. Promptly follow up sample and quotations to convert to sales. Providing PR opportunities whenever possible.
8. Primary responsibility for checking customer sales history and purchasing trends to ensure they are ordering all possible product lines.
9. Achieving all monthly / annual sales targets and KPI’s.
10. Assisting with technical queries. Effectively managing customer complaints and queries. Taking all necessary steps to resolve matters promptly (for example product testing and site visits).
11. Undertakes duties in accordance with all relevant management systems and controls.
What you will need to be successful...
1. Have strong demonstrable successful direct sales experience.
2. Be credible and able to build rapport and overcome objections/challenges in a positive way.
3. Have territory management experience.
4. Ideally you will live in the Reading/Guildford or Redhill area.
