Operations Manager - Flooring Contractors
London, United Kingdom | Permanent, full-time| £45,000 per annum (Negotiable Basic + Bonuses)
Carpet Roles UK are delighted to be working with their clients, a well regarded Specialist Flooring Contractors with their growth plans and are seeking an Operations Manager to assist with the day to day running of the business and who will become a key member of the company’s Senior Management Team.
The role will be a hands on one, based (30% of time) at our clients Central London based offices with regular (70% of time) out and about on Site Visits and Client Liaison duties.
Effectively the core function of the role will be the delivery of a full service to the companies Client base externally and in supporting the Project Management Team and Sales / Estimating team internally to enable a smooth and seamless operation between the different departments.
Duties will include the following:
Fitting management:
1) Scheduling works
2) Inspecting quality
3) Growing pool of Skilled Sub and Employed Contract Flooring Fitters.
Customer Relations:
1) Great written and Verbal communication Skills.
2) Customer Reviews and acting upon results to improve future service.
3) A Can Do attitude and an ability to get along with people are key.
Job/Cost management:
1) Scheduling – materials / installers / labour
2) Profit analysis
3) Call backs
Warehouse:
1) Live stock management to enable a clear picture on Inventory.
2) Organised warehouse
3) 2 second Lean thinking
4) Manage warehouse within growth plan
The Person:

The Package:
£40,000pa basic with KPI linked bonuses of a further £5k initially. This will be assessed bi annually -
Role is 30% office based and 70% out visiting clients and fitters on all jobs pre/ongoing/post jobs.
Laptop and phone can be supplied.
