A menswear and womenswear manufacturer with a small, close-knit technical team is looking for an experienced Senior Garment Technologist to join on a short-term contract.
About the role:
You'll take ownership of technical quality and fit across a menswear and womenswear range, working closely with design, production and pattern teams to keep product moving smoothly from development through to shipment.
Key responsibilities:
Leading and attending fit sessions across men's and women's product
Conducting risk assessments and advising design/account managers on potential issues
Identifying problems and implementing practical solutions
Creating graded size charts and updating measurements/specs
Liaising closely with the pattern team on pattern and grading matters
Championing "right first time" for lean manufacturing
Issuing production patterns and final specs to factories
Supporting production factories on technical matters
Checking pre-shipment samples and requesting Final Inspection reports
Cross-checking Final Inspection reports and approving shipments
Flagging actual and potential issues promptly
What we're looking for:
Recent, hands-on experience as a Senior Garment Technologist, ideally across both menswear and womenswear and must have at lest 5 year at this level
Strong recent experience running and attending fit sessions
Must be able to work onsite
Confident working directly with pattern, design and production teams
Sharp eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Available for the full contract period: 28th September – 16th October
