We have an exciting opportunity for a senior level lawyer to help lead the London office of a highly regarded national Property Litigation team?

We’re looking for an accomplished Principal Associate with extensive expertise in residential leasehold and landlord and tenant disputes. You’ll take the lead on complex, high-risk matters, help shape departmental strategy and support the development of talented lawyers across the team.

The opportunity

This Property Litigation team is recognised for its technical strength, advising on complex regulatory issues, significant disputes and high-volume property portfolios.

Joining a collaborative and ambitious environment, you’ll have the opportunity to influence legal strategy, strengthen client relationships and play a meaningful role in the team’s continued growth.

What you'll be doing:-

·         Acting as the technical expert on complex and high-risk property disputes
·         Overseeing legal strategy, risk management and quality assurance
·         Advising senior leadership on departmental planning and delivery
·         Guiding and mentoring the team
·         Maintaining significant and high-value cases
·         Deepening key client relationships and identifying opportunities for growth
·         Raising the team’s external profile through training, publications and client initiatives

What we’re looking for:-
You’ll be a recognised property litigation specialist with substantial experience in:

·         High-level property litigation and landlord and tenant law
·         Complex residential leasehold disputes across large portfolios
·         Strategic litigation involving service charges, forfeiture and breaches of covenant
·         First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) and court proceedings

Experience in the following areas would be particularly valuable:

·         The Building Safety Act and emerging regulatory frameworks
·         Remediation Orders and Remediation Contribution Orders
·         Leasehold reform, including the Leasehold and Freehold Reform Act 2024
·         Complex advisory work involving property management structures

About you:-

You’re a strategic thinker and trusted technical authority with excellent judgement. You combine first-rate legal expertise with strong leadership skills and are equally comfortable shaping strategy, managing risk and supporting colleagues.

If you’re ready to take a leading role in a high-performing Property Litigation team and make an impact at both technical and operational levels, we’d love to hear from you.
