Senior Associate – Construction Disputes (5+ PQE)

Join one of the UK’s leading contentious construction teams, advising on some of the most significant residential development, remediation and building safety disputes in the market.
This is an opportunity for an ambitious construction litigator to step into a thriving and fast-growing practice with a standout reputation in the social housing and residential development sectors.
The Opportunity
You’ll work within a highly regarded Construction, Engineering & Procurement team acting on complex, high-value disputes across adjudication, litigation, arbitration and mediation.
The team is recognised in Legal 500 and Chambers UK and regularly acts in precedent-setting matters before the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and Technology & Construction Court.
The practice is at the forefront of:
Building Safety Act litigation
Fire safety and structural defect claims
Remediation contribution and remediation order proceedings
High-value adjudications
Residential development disputes
Warranty, insolvency and final account claims
Clients include major registered providers, developers, contractors, consultants and international property investors.
The Role
You will take ownership of a varied and sophisticated caseload, advising clients on all aspects of contentious construction matters including:
Payment disputes
Extensions of time
Loss and expense claims
Defects and warranty claims
Procurement and insurance issues
Building safety and remediation disputes
You’ll manage matters through adjudication, mediation and TCC proceedings, while also playing an active role in client development, thought leadership and team supervision.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 5 years’ PQE in contentious construction
Experience handling adjudications and court proceedings
Strong technical knowledge of construction law and dispute resolution
Ability to run files independently with minimal supervision
Commercial, client-focused approach
Excellent drafting and communication skills
Enthusiasm for business development and building client relationships
Some non-contentious construction experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
