I am working on behalf of a well‑established , design lead , womenswear manufacturer who are looking to recruit a talented Womenswear Designer to join their close‑knit and very successful design team but in the interim would be looking for a freelance designer to support .
The Role
Designing women’s woven and jersey collections for a range of UK and European high‑street retailers
Conducting trend research across catwalks, retail stores and online platforms
Working closely with the technical team and company directors to deliver commercial, on‑trend ranges
The Candidate , what you need to be shortlisted
Proven and recent experience as a womenswear designer within a UK womenswear supplier , UK manufacturer or UK high street retailer
Strong recent background designing both woven and jersey product ( separates . tops / bottoms , dresses etc )
Strong trend awareness with a commercial eye for the high street
Able to work collaboratively within a small design team
Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple accounts
London based or commutable and eligible to work in the UK
This is a office‑based
