I am working on behalf of a well‑established , design lead , womenswear manufacturer who are looking to recruit a talented Womenswear Designer to join their close‑knit and very successful design team
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded designer with strong UK and European high‑street experience, designing both woven and jersey product across multiple retailer accounts.
The Role
Designing women’s woven and jersey collections for a range of UK and European high‑street retailers
Attending buyer and retailer meetings (this experience is essential)
Presenting design direction, trends, colour, print and fabric ideas directly to retailers
Conducting trend research across catwalks, retail stores and online platforms
Working closely with the technical team and company directors to deliver commercial, on‑trend ranges
Taking designs from concept through to production, ensuring deadlines are met
The Candidate , what you need to be shortlisted
Proven and recent experience as a womenswear designer within a womenswear supplier or manufacturer
Strong recent background designing both woven and jersey product ( separates . tops / bottoms , dresses etc )
Confident attending and presenting in retailer meetings
Strong trend awareness with a commercial eye for the high street
Able to work collaboratively within a small design team
Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple accounts
London based or commutable and eligible to work in the UK
This is a office‑based role but on completion of probation a one day a week hybrid conversation is 100% up for grabs
