Senior Consumer Protection Solicitor – Future Leadership Opportunity
This is more than just a legal role — it’s a genuine opportunity to shape the future of a fast-growing, investor-backed firm and step into senior leadership.
Our client, a specialist in consumer finance (with a particular focus on car finance), is entering a pivotal phase of growth. Positioned at the forefront of innovation in consumer claims and aligned with the newly announced Car Finance Redress Scheme, the business is scaling rapidly and building out its leadership team.
They are now looking for an experienced Consumer Protection Solicitor to join in a senior, high-impact role with a clear progression pathway into a top-tier leadership position.
The Opportunity
You’ll play a central role in defining and executing the firm’s legal and commercial strategy — from settlement frameworks to regulatory oversight — while working directly with the Executive Board, investors, and key external stakeholders.
This is a rare chance to move beyond a traditional legal role and take ownership of strategy, operations, and team build-out, positioning yourself as a future leader of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Partner closely with the Legal Director, CEO, and Board on strategic decision-making
Lead the development and delivery of the firm’s settlement strategy in line with the Car Finance Redress Scheme
Oversee and shape the firm’s regulatory compliance framework (SRA, FCA, ICO)
Advise senior leadership and investors on legal risk and regulatory matters
Build, lead, and scale a high-performing legal and settlement strategy team
Manage relationships with lenders, investors, and external legal advisers
Identify and drive new opportunities within the evolving consumer claims market
About You
Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years’ experience in consumer finance, regulatory law, or complex claims
Comfortable operating at senior or board level, with strong stakeholder management skills
Deep understanding of SRA, FCA, and ICO regulatory frameworks
Commercially minded, with the ability to balance legal risk and business growth
Proven leader with experience building and managing teams
Ambitious, strategic, and motivated by the opportunity to grow into a senior leadership role
Why This Role?
Clear pathway to senior leadership within a scaling, investor-backed firm
High level of autonomy, influence, and strategic input
Opportunity to help shape a business at a critical growth stage
Competitive salary with performance-related and long-term incentives
If you’re looking for a role where you can make a real impact — and build a clear route to senior leadership — this is it.
Please note: due to high application volumes, only suitable candidates will be contacted.
