We are working with a well-established womenswear manufacturer based in East London, proudly operating for over 15 years. With management bringing 25 years of industry expertise, and they have built a reputation for delivering high-quality fashion across Woven womenswear product ( they also do some Jersey ) with a focus on soft separates but do some soft tailoring as categories. The is reflected in long-term partnerships with 7 well-known high street womenswear retailers, and they are now expanding their workforce to open new retail doors and strengthen their presence across the UK and European markets.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to spearhead new business development with UK and European retailers and supermarkets. This is a pivotal role, focused on building a strong pipeline, securing meetings with key decision-makers, and converting opportunities into revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales strategy to secure new business with major UK and European retailers and supermarkets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers and procurement teams.
Confidently secure meetings and convert opportunities into revenue.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and commission structures to maximize profitability.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth product development and delivery.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.
Requirements (the must-have shopping list)
Proven track record in womenswear manufacturing sales, with experience securing new business with high street retailers and supermarkets – it's essential and the client will want evidence of won business and how much the accounts bring in .
Solid contact book of UK and European retailers or supermarkets.
Demonstrated ability to secure meetings and close deals.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and deliver results under pressure.
Willingness to travel across Europe as required.
Based within commutable distance to East London (hybrid working available) and eligible to work in the UK.
