The role
As an Associate in the Investment & Property Management (IPM) sub-team, you’ll be part of a large, multi-location Real Estate practice that handles a wide variety of commercial real estate matters. Your work will include landlord and tenant matters, acquisitions and disposals, corporate support, and portfolio management. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across offices and work with a diverse client base, including investors, landlords, and occupiers. This role offers the chance to develop your expertise across multiple sectors, such as retail, healthcare, manufacturing, and more, while contributing to high-profile projects that make a real impact.
Key responsibilities
● Lease work and asset management: Take ownership of lease negotiations, renewals, and other landlord and tenant matters, ensuring clients receive exceptional service.
● Acquisitions and disposals: Manage the purchase and sale of commercial properties across a variety of sectors, delivering seamless transactions from start to finish.
● Portfolio and corporate support: Provide strategic advice and support on portfolio management and corporate real estate matters, ensuring clients’ assets are optimised.
● Client service and collaboration: Work closely with clients, building strong relationships and delivering tailored solutions that meet their unique needs.
● Supervision and mentoring: Support junior team members by sharing your expertise, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
● Risk and quality management: Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, adhering to risk management and compliance protocols.
What you’ll bring
Must-haves:
● 2–4 years’ PQE in commercial real estate, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality work.
● Solid experience in landlord and tenant matters, including lease negotiations and renewals.
● Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with a keen eye for detail.
● A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
● Confidence in client-facing roles, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
● Nice-to-haves:
● Exposure to corporate support or sector-specific work, such as telecoms, healthcare, or manufacturing.
● An interest in business development and the ability to identify opportunities for growth.
● Experience mentoring junior colleagues or a desire to develop leadership skills.
