Real Estate Senior Associate – London or Liverpool

Our client, a leading international law firm with an exceptional reputation in the real estate sector, is seeking a talented Senior Associate to join their team. With an opening in either their London or Liverpool office, this is a superb opportunity for an ambitious lawyer with 5+ years PQE to take on a key role. This role offers direct client contact, responsibility for complex matters, and the chance to grow your profile in a dynamic, agile environment.


Key Responsibilities

Your role will be central to the team, involving a broad range of high-quality commercial property work. Your duties will include:
  • Advising on and negotiating commercial leases, licences, and agreements for lease.
  • Acting for landlords on investment properties and representing tenants on occupational leases.
  • Drafting and advising on deeds of variation and rent deposit deeds.
  • Managing freehold and leasehold sales and acquisitions, including complex conditional sales.
  • Playing a key role in portfolio sales and other large-scale transactions.
  • Liaising with internal planning, construction, and finance teams on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Advising lenders on property finance matters, including certificates of title.
  • Supervising and mentoring trainees and paralegals while managing a busy caseload.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a commercially astute lawyer who is ready to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will possess:
  • 5+ years PQE gained within a top-tier real estate practice.
  • Strong academic credentials and proven technical expertise.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • A commercially focused mindset with experience handling complex property transactions.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships with a high degree of direct contact.
  • A track record in business development and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
