Our client is a renowned Porsche specialist based in Oxfordshire. Now synonymous with the world’s most successful historic Porsche rally cars, and having worked with rallying’s greatest names, our client also builds winning Porsche race cars.

Their workshops regularly take on complete restoration projects, including bespoke road cars. All aspects of Porsche rebuilds are carried out in-house, from engine and transmission builds to rust repair, metal fabrication, roll cage installation and full body & paint.

Our client has just completed a new state of the art workshop on site to accommodate the ever-growing work load.

Main Responsibilities

  • Must be able to carry out rust repairs to an excellent standard 
  • Repair and up spec body shells to the highest level 
  • Carry out crash repairs 
  • Be familiar with jigging and straightening body shells 
  • Fully fabricate and weld components from drawings
  • Fabricate and weld one off components
  • Tig weld sub-assemblies for shell build programme
  • Being responsible for ensuring work is carried out to a high standard of quality
  • Adhere to a high level of personal presentation
  • Maintain the workshop in a clean and professional way
  • All plant and equipment are maintained correctly, any defects reported
  • Be familiar with and work to the company’s health and safety standards
  • Advise and report on any issues relating to health and safety
  • To comply with all company policies and procedures 
  • Support other departments when required
Skills Required
  • Candidates must also be skilled in car restoration and metal fabrication
  • Be fully competent in the use of MIG, TIG welding techniques
  • Be able to panel fit full body shells
  • Be able to communicate effectively and resolve problems quickly and efficiently 
  • Excellent communication, organisation and inter-personal skills

  • Strong Team-worker – ability to thrive in a small, closely-knit, and dedicated team
  • Be able to carry out tasks with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility – being prepared to work longer hours when occasionally required
Experience Required
  • Past experience in working within an automotive body shop is essential
Education and Qualifications Required
  • Full Driving license - Essential
