Job Title: Sole Charge Daily Nanny
Location: Herne Hill, SE London
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: 4-day work week, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM and occasional evening babysitting (day off to be Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday)
Job Overview:
A loving, qualified and experienced daily nanny is required for a sole charge position caring for two young children – a baby boy (3 ½ months) and a toddler boy (2 ½ years). This is a long-term, full-time role based in Herne Hill, South East London.
Ideal Nanny:
The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with both babies and toddlers, with a deep understanding of age-appropriate developmental milestones, routines, and activities. You should be nurturing, proactive, organised, and confident in managing two children at different stages.
You must have a genuine interest in early years development and education, and be able to create a stimulating, engaging, and loving environment both at home and out at local groups, parks, and classes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Full care of both children during the day (toddler will be at kindergarten for some of the week)
- Planning and leading age-appropriate play and activities to support development
- Organising and attending local playgroups, play dates with other children, classes, and outings
- Maintaining children's routines including naps, feeding, and playtime
- Keeping the children's areas tidy, clean and organised (including prams, etc.)
- Managing the children's laundry (the cleaner assists with ironing)
- Sorting/maintaining children’s wardrobes and rotating clothes
- Ongoing personal care of children (haircuts, new shoes, etc.)
- Light childcare-related household duties (e.g. grocery shopping for children’s food)
- Occasional babysitting with advanced agreement
- Childcare qualifications preferred with significant experience with both babies and toddlers
- Strong interest and experience in child development and early education
- Confident cook – must be able to prepare nutritious meals from fresh ingredients and batch cook to cover weekend meals for children
- Knowledge of (or willingness to learn about) allergies, especially peanut and dairy
- Warm, kind/compassionate, loving, engaging, and energetic
- Happy to balance time at home with regular outings
- Enhanced DBS check and excellent checkable references required
- Paediatric First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
