Position: Night Nanny
Location: RG20 Berkshire
Start Date: Mid June 2025
Working Hours: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM 6 nights per week for 4-6 weeks
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, nurturing, and reliable Night Nanny to provide overnight care for a newborn baby. The Night Nanny will support healthy sleep habits, assist with nighttime feeding and nappy changes, and ensure the baby's well-being throughout the night, allowing the parents to rest and recover.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and care for the newborn throughout the night.
Support breastfeeding mother or independently bottle-feed if required.
Perform nappy changes, soothing, and settling techniques as needed.
Establish and maintain healthy night time routines and sleeping patterns.
Maintain a calm, quiet, and safe sleep environment.
Record or communicate feeding times, sleep patterns, and any notable events to parents.
Light nursery-related tasks (e.g., sterilising bottles, organising baby clothes if needed).
Offer advice on newborn sleep routines if requested.

Essential Requirements:
Proven experience caring for newborns, ideally as a Night Nanny or Maternity Nurse.

Relevant qualifications: newborn care specialist certificate, maternity nurse training
Current paediatric first aid certification.
Please submit your CV, copies of relevant certifications, and at least two references from previous roles caring for newborns. 
Up-to-date DBS check on the update system (or willingness to obtain one).
Excellent references from previous families/employers.
Strong knowledge of infant sleep safety
Gentle, patient, and attentive approach to newborn care.
High standards of hygiene and organisation.
Flexibility to accommodate occasional changes in schedule if needed.

Desirable Attributes:
Lactation support knowledge or experience supporting breastfeeding mothers.
Knowledge of different sleep training methods (only if aligned with parental preferences).
Calm, reassuring demeanor with excellent communication skills.
Respect for family values, privacy, and household routines.
