A wonderful family, based in the San Francisco Bay area, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Rota Nanny/Governess to care for their 1 year old son. The family also have a 5 year old child who is cared for by their own nanny.

The family are looking for a Nanny / Governess who is willing to commit to them long term and build a strong relationship with the family. You will become an integral part of the family’s life creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for their son’s intellectual, emotional and social development. You should have experience caring for children of a similar age as well as being discreet, organised, positive and proactive with a can-do attitude.

The nanny would be required to work core hours of 7am to 7pm with flexibility to provide provide overnight care and support if required as well as travelling with the family.

 Responsibilities
-          Plan and create age-appropriate activities and playtime to promote learning, creativity and social interaction.
-          Foster a positive and stimulating environment that supports the child’s social and emotional growth.
-          Establish and maintain a consistent daily schedule for the child, incorporating nap times and nutritional mealtimes.
-          Collaborate with other household staff to ensure seamless coordination of activities.
-          Accompany the family during travel, providing childcare support.
-          Maintain open and transparent communication with parents regarding the child’s well-being and development.

This is a fully staffed household and so communication and being a positive team member is important. The nanny is required to do standard nursery duties, (including meal planning and some cooking and laundry). Upkeep of the child’s room, organisation, administration etc is required.

Qualifications and experience:
-          Early Years Qualification, preferably at degree level (Norland preferred).
-          Proven experience working in UHNW or high-profile residences. Experience of travel and living abroad is desirable.
-          Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
-          Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
-          Ability to maintain discretion and uphold confidentiality.
-          Clear Criminal Records Check (DBS or equivalent).
-          Valid driver's licence and a clean driving record.
-          CPR and first aid certification.

The family travel worldwide and so experience of travelling with a family is required. The family will arrange any visas required.

Someone who is confident driving in the US is essential.
