Location: Burton Upon Trent | Driver due to location

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4.30pm | 40 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Lead to join a growing manufacturing business. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, transport coordination, customer despatch, and invoicing activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop warehouse, stores, goods-in, packing, and despatch teams.
  • Drive stock accuracy, inventory control, and warehouse efficiency.
  • Manage goods receipt, material movements, and inventory transactions through ERP/MRP systems.
  • Oversee production picking and kitting activities to support operational requirements.
  • Coordinate domestic and international logistics and transport activities.
  • Ensure customer orders are packed, documented, and delivered on time.
  • Manage relationships with freight providers, couriers, and logistics partners.
  • Support invoicing processes through accurate despatch documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with quality, traceability, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse and logistics operations.
  • Produce performance metrics and contribute to operational leadership meetings.
About You
We are looking for a proactive and organised logistics professional with:
  • Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, stores, or supply chain management within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock control, and warehouse operations.
  • Experience managing goods-in, despatch, transport coordination, and material traceability.
  • Good understanding of ERP/MRP systems and inventory control processes.
  • Knowledge of FIFO, batch control, shelf-life management, and material handling best practices.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • A hands-on approach with a focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
