Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring efficient planning and on-time deliveries
- Lead, support, and manage a team of drivers to maintain high performance standards
- Ensure full compliance with transport regulations, including tachographs and operator licensing
- Manage vehicle availability, servicing schedules, and defect reporting
- Conduct driver briefings, debriefings, and ensure accurate delivery documentation
- Respond effectively to operational issues such as delays or vehicle breakdowns
- Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements where required
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a smooth and reliable service
About You
- Previous experience in a Transport or Logistics Management role
- Strong working knowledge of UK transport legislation and compliance requirements
- A proactive, hands-on approach with strong organisational skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
- Confident decision-maker with excellent problem-solving ability
