We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled and dependable Electrical Workshop Operative to join their growing team. You will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing a range of electrical products to precise engineering drawings and technical specifications, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality are maintained at all times.

- Reporting To: Operations Manager
- Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm | Friday: 8:00am – 1:30pm
- Overtime available during busy periods | PPE provided

You will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing a range of electrical products to precise engineering drawings and technical specifications, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and wire emergency lighting and control systems for emergency vehicle installations
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Conduct testing, inspection, and quality checks on electrical assemblies
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults where required
- Ensure all work complies with company and regulatory safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and test results
- Keep the workshop organised, safe, and well maintained
- Work collaboratively with engineers and supervisors to meet production targets
- Follow standard operating procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Assembler, Panel Wirer, or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring techniques
- Ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
- Good understanding of health and safety within an electrical workshop environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience with control panel assembly or industrial automation systems
- Awareness of ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards
- A professional attitude aligned with customer focus, teamwork, trust, respect, and drive for success
