  • Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm | Friday: 8:00am – 1:30pm

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled and dependable Electrical Workshop Operative to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on electrical professional who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working in a structured, team-focused workshop environment.

You will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing a range of electrical products to precise engineering drawings and technical specifications, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality are maintained at all times.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and wire emergency lighting and control systems for emergency vehicle installations
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
  • Conduct testing, inspection, and quality checks on electrical assemblies
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults where required
  • Ensure all work complies with company and regulatory safety standards
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work and test results
  • Keep the workshop organised, safe, and well maintained
  • Work collaboratively with engineers and supervisors to meet production targets
  • Follow standard operating procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Assembler, Panel Wirer, or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring techniques
  • Ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
  • Good understanding of health and safety within an electrical workshop environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable (Not Essential)
  • Experience with control panel assembly or industrial automation systems
  • Awareness of ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards
  • A professional attitude aligned with customer focus, teamwork, trust, respect, and drive for success
