We are looking for a New Product Development Manager to lead the delivery of innovative products from concept through to market launch. In this pivotal role, you will ensure all NPD projects align with business objectives, quality standards, budgets, and timelines, acting as the central link between technical development, production, marketing, and commercial teams.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone passionate about driving consumer-led innovation and building high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day NPD operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Production, Procurement, Marketing, Quality, and Commercial teams
  • Translate consumer insights and market research into actionable product concepts
  • Review and approve formulations, prototypes, and technical specifications
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and stage-gate documentation
  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses, and risk assessments for new developments
  • Ensure products comply with internal quality standards and regulatory, safety, and compliance requirements
  • Support scale-up, factory trials, and production launches to ensure smooth transition into manufacture
  • Drive continuous improvement across NPD processes to enhance efficiency and product success rates
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the NPD team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability
  • Organise workloads, priorities, and resource allocation
  • Provide performance reporting and updates to the Commercial Manager
  • Build strong internal relationships to support collaboration and successful delivery
About You
  • Proven experience managing NPD projects from concept to launch
  • Strong leadership skills with experience developing technical or NPD teams
  • Commercially minded, able to manage costs, timelines, and project budgets
  • Confident working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organised, with excellent project management and problem-solving skills
  • Passionate about innovation, quality, and continuous improvement
