Location: Cannock, Office Based

Hours: Monday to Friday, Full Time Hours


We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage operational resources, ensuring output scales effectively with business growth while maintaining high standards of customer service, cashflow, and profitability. This is a pivotal role that requires strategic oversight of day-to-day operations, team management, and continuous process improvement.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, manage, and hold accountability for your team’s performance, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee warehouse and transport operations, optimising capacity to meet fluctuating customer demand.
  • Manage operational costs and ensure efficiency across all operational activities.
  • Maintain overall responsibility for on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery standards.
  • Ensure Health and Safety policies are set up, maintained, and adhered to across all facilities and personnel.
  • Manage non-conforming products, including returns, damaged goods, recalls, and investigations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement security measures to protect company assets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across workflows, processes, and operational systems.

Key Performance Measures:
  • Achievement of operational objectives, KPIs, and team targets.
  • Management of costs, budgets, and operational efficiencies.
  • OTIF delivery standards and customer service performance.
  • Implementation of process improvements and risk mitigation strategies.

:
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams.
  • Strong organisational and planning capabilities.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and improving operational workflows and systems.
  • Competent in budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Strong understanding of how operational decisions impact profitability and business performance.
  • Knowledge of UK legislation relevant to operations, health & safety, and risk management.
  • Proactive approach to identifying risks and implementing mitigation and business continuity plans.
